Out of Office: Ex Officio

Out of Office: Ex Officio inviterer Søren Assenholt indenfor på kontoret.

Out of Office: Ex Officio
Solo exhibition by Søren Assenholt

Are you ready to overcome your adversity to change?
Do you feel like a passionate employee?
Does your potential match your talent?
Do you have a quick-win mindset?
We will evaluate at 2.30PM

In
Out of Office: Ex Officio Søren Assenholt invites you into the office. The office lies in the middle of a reality, in which workspaces are manned by archetypical ‘solid-citizens’ and ‘super-performers’, and you can ring a bell to celebrate your ‘outstanding performance’ with the entire office. But is this new norm pulling the rug out from under us? The office is set in a welfare state in flux, where demands of sustained growth, personal development and self-management are as central players as labor negotiations and stress-prevention.
The exhibition consists of new sculpture- and releif-work, and features the installation
Our Offices Have Hardwood Floors; an entire office landscape, in which the fundamental support of the floor has dissolved. There, between binders and backrests, the sculptural craftsmanship of Søren Assenholt shines through, and produces a plastic embrace between the furniture of the office, and the floor, on which we all thought we stood safely.
